Drake Confirms ‘Views From The 6’ Collaboration with Beyoncé

Queen Beyoncé is making an appearance on Views From The 6

During his performance weekend at Coachella 2015, rapper-singer Drake took a few minutes to speak with Ernest Baker of Four Pins to finally reveal some new information pertaining to his much-anticipated album, Views From The 6. While he’s set to release the physical copy of his top selling digital album of the year, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, the Canadian rapper opened up on his forthcoming album saying he’s loving two tracks from the project. One of the tracks he expects a paradigm shift and another with the Queen herself, Beyoncé.

The two previously collaborated on her 2013 self-titled album with the popular single Mine; but this will mark the first time for the Houston legend making appearance on the OVO representatives solo project. Take a look at an excerpt from the interview below and stay tuned for more details from the project in the coming weeks.

The topic of our talk switches to Drake’s upcoming fourth album. He only has two songs finished that he likes. One is a collaboration with Beyoncé that he recorded a while ago. The other is a song that he expects to inspire a paradigm shift. His days of releasing lay-up bangers that everyone loves right away are over. For now.

Views From The 6 needs to shock listeners just as much as it needs to impress them. I compare it to what Kanye did on his own fourth album, 808s & Heartbreak. Drake agrees and, as if to reinforce that notion, he tells me that Boi-1da said he needs to listen to the non-Beyoncé song a few more times before he can decide whether it’s good or not. It appears that Drake is ready to deviate from his winning formula and get a little weird.
