Eminem “Partners In Rhyme: The True Story of Infinite” Documentary

We all know Eminem broke out with his classic album The Slim Shady LP after singing to Aftermath and Dr. Dre. The rest is history. Real stans know he had an album before that, though. Infinite was Marshall Mathers when he still gave a fuck. Rhyme patterns were crazy, but he still hadn’t found his sound yet.

20 years after the release of the album, a documentary about the making of it has been released. In the 10-minute video, Jeff and Mark Bass talk with Eminem back in the day about how they met (and first heard about each other), hitting the studio together and how they finally came up with Infinite. Unfortunately, with no radio play or sales, the album didn’t take off the way they planned.

That ultimately led to the creation of Slim Shady, who the producers and Marshall ended up carving a skeleton of for the Slim Shady EP. That project is what landed him a deal on Interscope and the rest is history. He became one of the best selling rap artists of all time.

You can listen to the mastered version of “Infinite” below.
