After many months of speculation and rumors, it appears as if Google is set to launch a subscription music service of their own. The talks about what Google might do were laid to rest as it was reported that they were able to secure licensing deals to allow listeners unlimited access to songs on their PC’s and mobile devices for a fee. While no other details have been revealed, Google will be unveiling the service later today as apart of their developer’s conference, Google I/O.
The new service will be made available through Google Play, Google’s app/media marketplace, and will serve as a direct competitor with services such as Spotify and others alike. Though no free tier subscription wil be provided with the service, will you be giving it a shot?
