It’s always a pleasure to hear a good rapper-producer pairing, especially it sounds as effortless as Huey Briss and Nikobeats. Long Beach rapper Huey has teamed up with Inland Empire producer Niko for a new seven-track project titled Black Wax. The raps and beats are stellar enough alone, but to top it off, there’s scratches from Dilated Peoples’ DJ Babu and bars from Seafood Sam, with Niko even spitting on “Bullets Don’t Need Guidance.”
The EP actually dropped last month, but after discovering it today, it was too good not to post. If you want more, the pair previously put out a joint EP called Sidekick Files Pt. 1 last year.
