Huey Briss and Nikobeats teamed up to release Black Wax, one of the best rap projects of the year so far, back in January.
This week, the Cali rapper-producer duo are returning to the project with a video for “Gil Scott Never Lied,” the opening track featuring DJ Babu. The chilling, Christian O’Keefe and Michael Priestley-directed visual finds Huey getting soaked by both the rain and the darkness. “Read between the lines, listen with your eyes,” he raps. “Finesse won’t be televised, Gil Scott never lied.”
