We still haven’t forgot about the collaborative album with K. Dot!
With the exception of promoting his Dreamville imprint, we haven’t heard too many new rhymes from J. Cole since the release of his 2014 Forest Hills drive album. The NC rapper did make an appearance last Black Friday, as he and Kendrick Lamar shared remixes for “Alright” and “A Tale of 2 Citiez.” The two greats soon announced plans for a collaborative album, which we’re still waiting 6 months later – if there’s any indication of it eventually dropping this year.
Luckily, with K. Dot always thinking of a rhyme, Jermaine is still active on his production and shared a new making-the-beat video recently. Whether or not this ends up on the next solo Cole album or the collaborative joint remains to be seen; but we know his listeners are relieved that he’s in the studio this summer. Watch Cole briefly create something we’ll hopefully hear in the future above.
