Things We Want To Hear From J. Cole & Kendrick Lamar’s Project

PRAY TO THE MUSIC GODS WE GET THIS PROJECT!

How many times have we heard of a Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole project over the past few years? More times than we can count. The EP (or whatever it’s supposed to be) has been in the works since before these two were signed, it feels like, and each collaboration seems to bring back what seems to be the biggest myth since DETOX.

The speculation was damn near non-existant, until this past Friday when the two decided to hop on each other’s tracks and resurrect the idea of a collaborative project.

Of course, this sent shock waves to the music industry because some may not have even known some shit like this was in the works and secondly, others forgot about it completely. Then the kicker was at the end of Cole World’s freestyle, where he says to wait until February. But what the fuck will we be waiting for? A new album from him? This project with Kendrick? Rap fans would rather hear the latter, but the speculation will eat us inside for the next three months and/or until Cole decides to let the cat out of the bag and just come out and tell us.

Either way, there are a few things we want to see from this mythical EP from K Dot and Jermaine (if it’s happening) and we hope some of them come true.
