Ja Rule Interview at The Breakfast Club
Last week, Ja Rule launched the pilot premiere episode of his new reality series, Follow the Rules. While the Queens veteran is using the platform for a comeback to music down the line, he has a slew of projects in the works – including an official Murder Inc. biopic series, as well as a feature film that he’s keeping under the wraps. Earlier, the R.U.L.E. made a stop to The Breakfast Club to have a little fun with his long-time friends in the game before brunch.
In the interview, Ja opened up on his music history time line, and how his career is unfortunately being overlooked by the newer generation of listeners. Without taking direct credit for birthing the current trend of singing-rapping you may enjoy from the greats of today like Drake and Bryson Tiller, he understood that listeners change over the years, who initially compared him to Tupac Shakur.
Watch more from the interview above, where he gives a rare story on wanting Jigga Man’s top spot in the late 1990s and a Dame Dash comment that confirmed why he shouldn’t sign with The Roc.
