Mr. Foxx will be returning with his first album in 5 years this May!
After numerous single releases over the past year and an official single arriving just last month, we had a feeling Jamie Foxx was on the brink of making his return to music soon. With his Chris Brown-assisted single “You Changed Me” currently being No. 23 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart, the Oscar- and Grammy Award-winning artist is ready to put things into motion with the announcement of his upcoming fourth studio album, Hollywood.
The album, which Foxx revealed was inspired by a fame-obsessed ex-girlfriend, is due to release on May 18, just days before he’s set to headline at Harlem, NY’s legendary Apollo Theater on May 21. In addition to “You Changed Me,” Hollywood is also set to feature “Jumping Out a Window,” “I’m Supposed to be in Love by Now,” “Hollywood” and a song featuring Kid Ink, which he debuted during his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Jamie Foxx will also make appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, American Idol, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Today Show and Steve Harvey Show to further promote his follow-up to 2010’s Best Night of My Life.
Pre-orders for Hollywood begin on May 4.
