TiDAL’s now the only way to stream Mafioso Hova rhymes
Only a week removed from formally introducing his new loss-less music streaming service, TiDAL, JAY Z is already making power moves to convey consumers over from competition. It’s no secret that the legendary Brooklyn rapper puts his debut album Reasonable Doubt as his most prestigious work of his career, but the former street hustler turned mogul has created another set of new rules we can expect many to follow.
Effective immediately, Reasonable Doubt has officially been removed from Spotify streaming service in the states, but the rest of his albums remain in their library – for the time being. The project has now moved exclusive to TiDAL, which marks for the first of many aggressive moves we can expect to combat streaming competitors and iTunes. Over the weekend, subscribers were granted exclusive premieres for Rihanna’s new single “American Oxygen” and Beyoncé’s surprise release of “Die With You.”
Granted the service is already gaining buzz from the previously mentioned three artists, we can many more to follow suit in the inevitable unfortunate demise of one of our favorite modern era apps.
