Before we get her long-awaited debut album Souled Out next month, the lovely and talented Jhené Aiko headed to MTV studios and the L.A. singer-songwriter partook in the latest edition of their Artist To Watch series.
While there she spoke a bit about the sound of her music and not really being able to define it because it’s a reflection of everything that makes her who she is. She then broke out into a performance of two stripped-down versions of singles that are featured on her upcoming project. One being the Cocaine 80s assisted “To Love & Die” and the other being “Spotless Mind.” Look out for Jhené Aiko’s debut album Souled Out which is set to release September 9th.
