In the past, the two had a long-standing rivalry – dating back to their issues with Dipset on Roc-a-Fella. However, Jay showed Jimmy that he respected his Byrd Gang movement in 2006 (RIP Stacks, Free Max), remixing his critically-acclaimed hit, “Ballin.”
Immediately after the deal announcement, Capo was seen Hot 97 conduction an emotional interview about his falling out with both Cam’ron Giles and Damon Dash. Soon after, he was seen at the Roc Nation Brunch on GRAMMYs weekend in Los Angeles the next day, as S. Dot, Diddy, Fat Joe, Remy Ma and others welcomed him at the get-together.
If you follow Jimmy on Snapchat, then you may have seen him traveling on a private jet yesterday. Well, Capo confirmed that the trip was for a meeting, as he wrote the “Fuck a caption.”
We’re assuming Roc Nation and Vamp Life will make a formal announcement of an imminent project and other entertainment plans Jones has in store this summer.
