Joe Budden & DJ Akademiks on Why Big Sean or J. Cole Can’t Challenge Kendrick Lamar

Who’s the best: Pac, Nas and B.I.G.? Ain’t no best. . .

This morning, Joe Budden and Akademiks were back to battle in another episode of Everyday Struggle for Complex. During the half-hour plus debate, the two went to address Vince Staples’ recent claims of naming Kendrick Lamar the best rapper alive. Unfortunately, they disqualified Drake from the topic, due to alleged ghostwriting claims from Meek Mill.

In the conversation, both surprisingly agreed to K. Dot being the best rapper at the moment, due to lack of overall competition. Budden went to say that J. Cole was too passive and quiet, and cited Big Sean having questionable early mixtapes to not give them a nod over K. Dot.

While they also believe that Sean may be the best rapper; both need the Detroit native to have a stronger discography of work to garner the crown. Unlike Cole, Sean isn’t passive and is aggressively looking to claim the throne; but still needs some time in their eyes.

Take a look at the full conversation above, and another hilarious video of Budden finally confronting a journalist that gave him a bad review. Let us know who you have as the top rapper.
