18-year old, Joey Bada$$ is gearing up to release his debut studio album later this year, highlighted by the first single “Unorthodox” produced by DJ Premier. Last year, we saw releases of his career launcher “1999” mixtape, along with the “P.E.E.P: The aPROcalypse,” but now the Flatbush, Brooklyn native is putting the finishing touches on his solo opus. Last month he was nominated to XXL Magazine’s 2013 freshmen class, as here he spits a few verses for their freestyle series.
