Justin Timberlake’s ‘Man of the Woods’ First Week Sales

Congrats to JT, Timbo and Skateboard P!

Following a Super Bowl Half Time performance and the release of his Man of the Woods album, Justin Timberlake can finally enjoy success this weekend. The Tennessee Kid’s latest effort debuts at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, earning 293,000 album sales in its first week.

The project generated 242,000 traditional album sales, which is the largest week for a first week since Taylor Swift’s Reputation project back in December. Timberlake’s previous two albums, The 20/20 Experience debuted with 968,000 units; with part two moving 350,000 in traditional album sales (streams weren’t included until the following year in 2014).

In related news to the charts, Migos’ CULTURE II project falls to no. 2, moving 88,000 units – which is down 56 percent. Look for Man of the Woods to have a steady spot on the charts throughout summer, as JT embarks on his statewide tour this March 13th in Toronto throughout May.
