Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Ty Dolla Sign are being sued over the Kids See Ghosts song, “Freeee (Ghost Town Pt. 2),” according to TMZ.
Actor Ronald Oslin Bobb-Semple claims that the song “exploited the actual voice, words and performance” of his 2002 recording “The Spirit of Marcus Garvey (Garvey speaks to an all-Black audience)” without permission. So, he’s suing the three artists, along with Def Jam and Universal Music.
The lawsuit says that “Bobb-Semple’s voice and authorship is heard in the introductory words” of “Freeee (Ghost Town Pt. 2).” He’s seeking damages and an injunction against them.
