Kanye West ruffles feathers whenever he posts something on Twitter. From not knowing what certain abbreviations mean, to clearing up allegations about his preferences in between the sheets, Yeezy has all eyes on himself with the release of WAVES looming.
Today, he spoke on what his opinion of the upcoming effort is, while simultaneously paying tribute to the artists he looks up to and those that came before him. Of course, what’s going to get under people’s skin is his declaration that WAVES will be “ONE of the greatest albums not the greatest just one of…” Considering he called the project “gospel” and “the album of life” already, it should come as no surprise he’s making these statements.
Out of respect for Q-Tip, Puff, Hov, Lauren, Pharcyde, Mary, Stevie, Michael, Hendrix, James, Pete Rock, Pac, Marvin….
