With a project name like Gangster Music Vol. 1, you probably expect some crazy street slaps but that’s not the Kaytranada sound. Regardless, the producer is keeping it gangsta for his own self on the two-song release from him today ahead of the release. The first is from Quelle Chris on “Brain of the Ape,” with the second being an instrumental from Kay. The solo record is right up his alley, but the Quelle record is a little different than you’d expect to hear.
After listening to the instrumental, it would be dope to hear someone like Boogie or Dom Kennedy. Make sure you press rewind on the player to hear it.
