Kendrick Lamar’s ‘DAMN.’ achieves platinum status
It’s been a glorious past few weeks for TDE. In the matter of three weeks, Kendrick Lamar‘s critically-acclaimed fourth studio album DAMN. is now officially certified platinum. After putting up a strong first week of 603,000 units moved, which currently stands as the highest first week sale totals for any album release this in 2017, Kdot’s latest opus has achieved platinum status for the third straight time. DAMN. is project to sit atop the Billboard Charts for the third week, where it’s expected to move another 170,000 units.
In the past few weeks since the release of his new album, Kendrick Lamar also earned himself his first number one single with “HUMBLE.” which was joined by “DNA.” as another top 5 song in his catalog. On top of that, every song on DAMN. also charted on Billboard Hot 100.
