The weekly Essential Mix is always something to look forward to, but when the likes of Joy Orbison prepare a two-hour set, it’s even more special. During his first ever mix for the BBC Radio 1 segment, one of the highlights was a premiere of Kowton’s new single “Glock & Roll.” The record is a charming piece of work from the producer, making perfect sense for Joy O to spring a glistening gem into the center of the mix.
