Lana Del Rey bids farewell to the Born To Die era with the release of her new short film entitled Tropico. The short film, which stars Ms. Del Rey and model Shaun Ross, finds the two recreating the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden that ends with the same outcome, then shoots us to a present day Los Angeles, seeing Del Rey now as a stripper and Ross, working as an everyday store clerk.

Looking for a way out of their bored and dull lives, Shaun’s character comes up with a get rich quick scheme that involves Lana’s lovely co-workers and a gang of his homeboys to pull off a job that will increase their wallet sizes. After the success of the heist, the two drive off into the sunset together, looking to start a new life.

Del Rey chose her Born To Die: Paradise singles, “Body Electric”, “Gods & Monsters” and “Bel Air” as the three songs to play as the soundtrack to the story. Watch how the whole thing unfold in the 27-minute short film below.
