Early last week, members of TDE tweeted question marks at a Chicago singer/producer by the name of Lance Skiiiwalker, which lead many to believe and assume that he was the newest signee to the acclaimed collective. It turns out, those assumptions were spot on. After appearing alongside Jay Rock on a number of songs featured on Rock’s 90059 album, Lance Skiiiwalker makes his much anticipated solo debut with his new single, “Speed.”
Many thought this was the alter-ego of TDE’s Jay Rock, but with Lance now having an picture of himself on Twitter, we can put that to rest. The debut track from SkiiiWalker isn’t quite what we expected to hear, and it’s different from the sounds we’re use to hearing these day, but when has TDE and its artist ever been about keeping their music the same as other artists.
