Lil Debbie has been missing from the world of music almost an entire year. While the California sweetheart has dropped a couple of videos here and there, fans haven’t gotten any new music from Debbie since her Homegrown EP nearly a year ago. That brief hiatus gave the rapper, model and fashion designer time to venture out and add a little more to her resume by launching her own brand of baked goods called Cakes.
Lil Debbie’s drought of no music comes to an end today, as the Cali artist releases her new single “Damn,” the first taste of her upcoming album titled Debbie. On the new track, Debbie shows that she hasn’t lost her touch in her absence, addressing the internet haters and the trolls and anyone who switched up on her. Debbie hits us with boastful rhymes, rapping about her income from the sold out shows she’s headlining and having the naysayers say damn every time she comes around, drops some new tunes or pulling up in the newest of cars.
