Just when you thought Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road” single couldn’t get any bigger, the track has just reached heights no other single has before.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the track featuring Billy Ray Cyrus has officially reached Diamond certification, making it the fastest in history to reach the milestone. Both sales and streaming equivalent sales surpassed the 10 million mark. It’s also the first song released in 2019 to be certified 10x platinum.
In July, “Old Town Road” also broke the record for spending the most time as No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, reigning atop for 19 weeks in a row.
