Lil Uzi Vert Shares Details for Rock Freestyle Album

A freestyle rock album?

Earlier this weekend, Lil Uzi Vert stopped by Zane Low’s Beats 1 Show for Apple Music to discuss his new album, Luv is Rage 2. With the effort being delayed for quite some time, this sparked ideas from the North Philly rapper-vocalist to brainstorm ideas for an immediate follow-up effort.

In that time, he decided his next project would be a freestyle rock album – citing Paramore’s Hayley Williams as his biggest inspiration. While also paying homage to his other music idols Marilyn Mason and Pharrell Williams, Uzi said Haley was the biggest influence in his songwriting.

Regarding the rock project, he also said that it will feature a line-up of women rockers, continuing his trend of not writing rhymes. Before ended the conversation, he went explain his own genre of songs saying, “I think my music is unidentified So, you know, if it’s unidentified, what does that mean? I pulled up in a UFO. So I’m an alien.” Watch the interview below.
