The million-dollar question?
Last week, Lil Wayne public took to social media to reveal that he was on the verge of retiring from music. With his delayed Carter V album still in limbo and lingering behind-the-scenes issues with Birdman still not cleared up between the two friends, Tunechi went to Fox Sports 1 this morning in Los Angeles to open up on his current frame of mind with good friend, Skip Bayless.
While thanking Kendrick Lamar for paying homage to him, as well as Drake and Young reaching out, Wayne said the message was sent at 4:30am after a verbal disagreement with someone at Ca$h Money – which reached a melting point. Regarding Birdman paying him the right amount of money, Weezy said he no longer wants to work with him, regardless if the pay is fair or not.
We’re assuming a buyout could be imminent, as he’s only a few days removed from his self-proclaimed farewell track to the label, “Grateful,” as he’ll be looking to reboot his career.
