We are around the corner from this new Jay Rock album and everything we’ve heard from him so far has been raw. “WIN” is a banger we’ve had in heavy rotation and we already know he’s got more hard shit on Redemption. We can hear some of that fire at the end of this trailer, which also has his whole TDE crew speaking about what Jay has meant to the group and why he is the unsung hero of the label.
Kendrick Lamar, Ali, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Dave Free, Punch, all speak on Rock, with old footage from the start of their careers being shown in between the commentary. It doesn’t seem like it, but Jay has been on the grind for years and for him to get the recognition he deserves is dope.
This clip is actually the trailer to an upcoming documentary by APLUS Filmz titled Road to Redemption, which we will see the journey Rock has been on to get to this point.
Redemption, his album, is due out June 15. JAY Z is slated to appear on there.
