Announcing a new project is usually pretty boring. An artist takes to social media, they reveal the title and maybe even give away some features from there and call it a day. Logic has gone above and beyond the call of duty to announce his upcoming Bobby Tarantino II mixtape, with the help of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty.
In the short clip, Rick and Morty are trying to decide on what music to play while they’re riding around in the spaceship. Once they decided on playing some Bobby tunes, they argue about what type of Logic music would be played. It ends with the big reveal that his new project is dropping this Friday, March 9th.
The creativity for the announcement is quite good. We’ll see how rappers take this idea and run with it for their own efforts later this year.
