Lute has been signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville imprint for a couple of years, but now it’s finally his time to shine. The rapper from Charlotte, North Carolina has just released his new project titled West 1996, Pt. 2, which finds him telling his story over 11 tracks.
“I’m not one for accolades,” he says. “All I want from this mixtape is for people to take with them that there is no room to give up despite odds against you.” The album features EARTHGANG, Cam O’bi, Elevator Jay, GQ Slaughter and High I’m Ry, with production from Elite, Savion Allen, Shiggy and more.
