RIP Phife!
If you know anything about the history of Mac Miller, he’s always paid homage to A Tribe Called Quest throughout his career. Earlier this morning, reports surfaced that group member Phife Dawg had tragically passed away, as Mac was one of the many fellow emcees and fans taken away by the unfortunate news. This prompted the Pitt rapper to hit up his studio a few hours ago and put together a tribute cut to Phife – under his Larry Fisherman moniker.
Take a listen above to Mac’s “5 Foot Assassin” track, where he adds his own production to the Queens rapper’s archive audio from The Arsenio Hall Show and “1nce Again.”
