It’s been nearly three years since Pharrell visited NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music to give feedback to students, and ended up leaving amazed by Maggie Rogers. The song he heard, “Alaska,” helped put her on the map as a single, and now, her debut album is here.
Teaming up with master producers like Greg Kurstin, Ricky Reed, Rostam, Kid Harpoon and others, the new 12-track project takes the Maryland singer’s potential and turns her into an established name in pop — but on her own terms. Two songs “Alaska” and “On + Off” appeared on her 2017 EP, but the rest are brand new.
