Maggie Rogers got her big break on the Internet last year when, as a student at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Pharrell stopped by and was blown away by an early demo of “Alaska”: “I have zero notes for that,” he said.
Now, after making her debut TV performance on The Tonight Show last night, the singer has released her debut EP titled Now That the Light Is Fading. The five-track project features singles like “Alaska” and “On + Off,” and combines all of her elements of folk, pop and electronic.
