Martin Shkreli Ordered to Forfeit ‘Once Upon a Time in Shaolin’ & ‘Tha Carter V’ Albums

Shkreli no longer owns CV or the Wu albums

This week, Martin Shkreli appeared in court, where Brooklyn Federal Judge Kiyo Matsumoto ruled that his Wu-Tang Clan Once Upon a Time in Shaolin and Lil Wayne Tha Carter V albums must be forfeited. Along with the projects, $5 million in previous bail and a Picasso painting, Martin had to give up nearly $7.4 million as a result of his fraud convictions last summer.

At the time of his conviction on August 4th, Shkreli had been out on bail, but that was until September 13th, when a judge threw him back inside – after he previously offered $5,000 to anyone who would bring him a string of Hillary Clinton’s hair. Shkreli, the former Chief Executive Officer of Retrophin is due back in Brooklyn Federal Court on Friday, where he’s facing 20 years in prison.

It’s unknown what happens with both albums, including the one-of-a-kind Wu project, but we’re certain the labels will have a part in its landing spot. Let us know what you think.
