Megan Thee Stallion Explains How Beyoncé Remix Came Together

Earlier this week, Megan Thee Stallion surprised the world when she released her “Savage” remix with none other than Beyoncé. Queen Bey was on there rapping, spitting fire like we haven’t heard before.

In a talk with Ebro on Beats 1, she speaks on how it all went down.

According to Hot Girl Meg, she kept the song a secret, not telling a single person from her team or her best friend that it was in the works.

Being from Houston, it was an honor for Bey to get on it for that H-Town love.

Even the day it came out, she was in disbelief that Mrs. Carter-Knowles would be jumping on the song. Finally when she heard it, she cried tears of joy.

“She’s somebody that really inspired me too, so just to know that Beyoncé even has heard any of my music or just has watched me as an artist come up doing what I’m doing and that she’s rocking with me enough to even do a song with me, that’s really something that touched my heart because I looked up to Beyoncé since I was like young. It just seemed like a dream but in the back of my head I just always knew that at some point in my life I have to do a song with Beyonce.”

She also talked to Ebro about meeting The Carters for the first time, speaking to Bey since the song’s release and more. All the proceeds from the song will benefit COVID-19 relief in Houston thanks to Bread of Life, Inc.
