Rising Harlem rapper Melii has just released her debut project phAses this week, but there’s a little controversy following it.
Tory Lanez took to Instagram to congratulate Melii on the release, and welcomed her to his One Umbrella label. Meek Mill then commented on the post with some thinking emojis and wrote, “This is a corny ass move on both y’all end.”
Melii is fresh off supporting Meek on his ‘Motivation Tour,’ and it looks like he wanted to sign her. Replying to someone in the comments, Melii explained why she decided not to sign with Meek. “I ain’t wanna fuck him,” she said. “He kept saying I was acting boujee that I was another Nicki Minaj and when I’d speak up for myself he would call me crazy.”
Melii also took to her Instagram story to clear up the situation, saying she still respects Meek.
