You never know what to expect when Mike Dean releases an instrumental. You can either get a super experimental record or some hard shit that will have you lowering the bass in the whip before your speakers blow out. On “Perle De Gris,” he dabbles in a bit of both. It certainly can be considered a rap beat for an artist who has the futuristic range, with that signature psychedelic vibe from Mike.
Travis Scott would probably be the first rapper that one would think of would jump on something like this. Or a My Beautiful Twisted Fantasy era Kanye West.
