The legendary producer opens up on the latest member of G.O.O.D.

As Desiigner gears up for his first official major release we’re assuming, one person who’s offering a big helping hand for the Brooklyn rapper’s project, is Mike Dean. The legendary producer-mixer from Houston has been seen more recently with G.O.O.D. Music camp for the better part of 15 years, as well as recent with Beyoncé’s self-titled 2013 album and two weeks ago with LEMONADE.

In a recent sit-down with Billboard Magazine, Mr. Dean touched on his contributions for the Queen’s latest efforts, Kanye West’s upcoming working-titled Turbo Grafx 16 album and the untitled Kid Cudi album. Before things concluded, he was asked about his hand in the career of Desiigner, who’s seen some early music comparisons to Future through a slew of social media memes.

Take a look at the comments below.

How is it working with Desiigner?
He’s a lot more of an artist than you think he is. He’s not just some Future knockoff. He talks like that — he sounds like he’s got Auto-Tune on his voice in real life. He talks like Future raps, which is weird.

It’s crazy he’s from Brooklyn.
I don’t know where he got his music influence. Just like that old shit that I had, the shit with A$AP Rocky and Yams and all that shit. Like Yams said they grew up on that music on the Internet. Me and Plain Pat were talking about Desiigner. To older people, listening to music is like soul music or old rock music. To Desiigner though [what’s out now] is all the music he knows.
