Nas stopped by The Late Show last night for a performance of “Adam and Eve” off his NASIR album. Not only that, but he also sat down with Stephen Colbert for an interview.
In it, he talks about looking up to The Jackson 5, Rick James and James Brown, remembering a time when hip-hop wasn’t considered music, recording with Kanye West in Wyoming and regrets about his song “Dr. Knockboot” from his I Am… album. “It was one of those songs I regretted doing,” Nas said. “I regret letting people talk me into putting it on an album. The name “Dr. Knockboot” is corny.”
