The Reason Why Nas is Making Classic Albums Again after Kanye West Fail

Nas Making Classic Albums Again 2022 Story

This is his shit. . . .

Last year, Nas and Hit-Boy shocked the world, dropping their King’s Disease collaborative project. While many thought this was a one-off project, the two double-backed earlier this year, dropping KD2, which we’ve called as the best album of the entire 2021.

Now, last week, the two dropped their MAGIC EP, shocking more listeners that the project was so great. Some even went to call their brief appetizer the best presentation the two have put together.

With King’s Disease III being teased for 2022, Nas and Hit-Boy have been in the studio this entire holiday season on the gram. This week, Joe Budden broke down what we were thinking internally, as to why Nas is back to making undisputed classic projects again.

After leaving the major labels, regaining ownership of masters and royalties, Nas is building the empire at Mass Appeal Records. This is his shit to fully develop, which has inspired him to spit some of the best rhymes of his career, nearly 30 years after the original Illmatic album in 1994.

Along with Hit-Boy providing some of his best production, he’s been more than inspired to show why he’s one of the best producers of not only today – but all time.

Take a look at the breakdown from Buddens below.
