Nas Picks His Top 5 Hip Hop Songs of All Time

The genre of Hip-Hop has turned 45 years old and while some are celebrating, Mass Appeal caught up with Nas in the studio to speak on the historic event and to run back some of his favorite songs of all time.

Of course, Esco was a little stumped at first, and had to narrow some records by Slick Rick and Run DMC down, but he picked his five essential hip-hop records to bump.

He even picked a bonus.

Public Enemy – Rebel Without A Cause
Eric B. & Rakim – Eric B Is President
Rob base & EZ Rock – It Takes Two
Slick Rick – La Di Da Di
Run DMC – Sucka MC

Bonus: MC Shan & Marley Marl – The Bridge

While everyone’s Top 5 will look different, Nasir took it back to New York for all of his picks and showed love to some of the pioneers of this shit.

Post your Top 5 in the comments and let us know what you think.
