It only took 16 years, but Nelly is in elite company now. His debut album Country Grammar has reached levels only a few have, receiving diamond certification from the RIAA.

During his charity concert for Musicians On Call, the RIAA presented him with the diamond plaque, after sales and streams surpassed 10 million. Nelly now becomes the sixth rapper to ever go diamond, joining the company of 2pac, Eminem, MC Hammer, Outkast and The Notorious B.I.G.

The classic album spawned hits like “Country Grammar,” “Ride With Me” and “E.I.” and officially put St. Louis on the map the way nobody else had before him.
