Spike Lee‘s upcoming movie CHI-RAQ has caused quite a bit of stir following the film’s debut trailer a little over a week ago. While the famed director has taken some time to respond to the critics, many still believe that the movie will be a let down. That’s not stopping the promotion for the film, which is expected out on December 4th.
The original motion picture soundtrack for the Spike Lee Joint is to include music from award-winning Chicago natives R. Kelly, Jennifer Hudson and Sam Dew as well as Jhene Aiko, Kid Ink, Tink Eryn Allen Kane and more. The second single from the soundtrack is from the movie’s star Nick Cannon who plays a rapper named Chi-Raq and “Pray 4 My City” is the song in which he contributed that touches on Chicago’s inner-city violence.
