After much speculation surrounding who would join the American Idol judges panel with the departure of Jennifer Lopez and Stephen Tyler, the 12th season will kick off with Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban joining Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson on the show. The decision came at the last minute, but settles rumors which included Enrique Iglesias, Pharrell and Nick Jonas, who were considered as candidates to be added to the cast.
