In full command of his artistic vision and wide-ranging creatively, ONLYBINO!welcomes listeners into his world with luv2hat3, his new EP out today. With production from Darkboy, geogotbands, Robbie Soukiasyan, ONLYBINO! himself and more, luv2hat3 is a combination of vulnerable verses, moving melodies and hypnotic hooks across 11 tracks. Alongside luv2hat3, the Columbia/ Records/Field Trip signee shares the video for “US”, a vibe-setting standout from the project.
The Dre Malice-directed video for “US” adds a new layer of complexity to the ethereal adventures of Bino’s world. Captured in a dark film style, the video follows Bino as he reflects on his love interest leaving his life and starting a new one with someone else.
Never one to rest too long, ONLBINO! is only just starting his rise. Stay tuned for much more from the Broward County native as he continues his ascent to the highest levels of the rap game.
Relying on instinct above all, ONLYBINO! accesses instantly irresistible melodies from within. The Jamaica-born and Florida-raised artist effortlessly floats between hip-hop, R&B, and pop as if untethered from the physical realm itself. Living in Jamaica until the age of six, music proved central to his upbringing. Mom played him records during her pregnancy, while he always needed either “old R&B or Mariah Carey” to sleep. At the same time, he discovered hip-hop through 50 Cent’s classic “In Da Club.” Upon moving to Florida’s Broward County, he overcame the language barrier by taking speech classes and picking up English. In addition to obsessing over cartoons such as Ed, Edd n Eddy and The Flintstones, he constantly listened to everyone from Chris Brown and The Weeknd to XXXTentacion, Bryson Tiller, and Lil Uzi Vert. Around the same time, he discovered Childish Gambino through “Heartbeat” and Camp. Instantly inspired, he wrote notes, lyrics, and ideas in his iPod. At 17-years-old, he downloaded GarageBand on his phone and recorded off Beats wireless headphones in his mom’s closet. Soon, he unleashed tracksat a steady clip, gaining steam on Soundcloud with the likes of “Busy,” “On Go,” and “Wolf.” Collaborations with SSGKobe, TyFontaine, Xhulooo, and midwxst followed as he earned endorsements from Elan and Zack Bia. However, he set TikTok on fire with “Butterfly Doors” in 2021. It eventually cracked 1 million Spotify streams as he signed to Columbia Records. Now, he trusts the power of his instincts more than ever on his 2022 debut.
