From the Ea$tside, to the Eastside. In the mid 90’s, one of our favorite factions was the Boot Camp Click which featured Buckshot, Heltah Skeltah, O.G.C. and the duo we decided to pay homage today; Tek & Steele (Smif-N-Wessun).
As an advocate of hardcore rap, I instantly fell in love with the duo’s first single “Bucktown! (Home Of The Original Gun Clappers!).” While the mainstream crowd was screaming “home of the original ill spitters,” the Eastside of Brooklyn was more into the street side of things for this hip-hop thing, as you can see above
