OS Flashback: Snoop Doggy Dogg – Doggy Dogg World (feat. Tha Dogg Pound)

RELATED: Snoop Dogg “Doggystyle” 20th Anniversary Mix

20 Years ago to the day, Snoop Dogg emerged into the rap game with his debut album Doggystyle. Snoop had perfectly depicted the West Coast G-Funk movement with the project which was a good personification of the whole Death Row representation and Dogg Pound affiliates. Snoop would go on to have the fastest selling Rap album from 1993 until Eminem’s original “The Marshall Mathers LP” back in 2000; and delivered a classic with an entire project produced, mixed and mastered by Dr. Dre.

With Dre behind-the-boards, Snoop’s only mission was just to lace up some dope bars in the booth; which he followed up the classic Chronic album with one of his one. In comparison to doing a generic flashback of “What’s My Name?” or “Gin and Juice”; we decided to go retro 70s for his final single from the album being “Doggy Dogg World.”

After you watch the flashback above, check after the jump to see Snoop reflecting on the 20th anniversary of Doggy Style with MTV news.
