Who knows what Young Jeezy is up to right now, but we don’t need an occasion to revisit some classic shit from his catalog. For whatever reason, we needed that thug motivation on this Tuesday and we had to take it back to that Let’s Get It: TM101 album for our fix. It was between that and The Recession, and when we thought about the songs on each, the older album got the nod. Though songs “Get Ya Mind Right,” “Gangsta Music” or “Bottom of the Map” get more burn on this side, “Trap Star / Go Crazy” has a video, so that’s why we brought it here. No JAY Z version on the latter, yet it still bangs like the first time listening.
We’re 14 years removed from the release of this classic project and at the very least, we wanted to give a reminder to everyone who may have forgotten about it. Hopefully we’re not the only ones paying homage to Jizzle on random days.
