Boogie Down Productions – South Bronx
As a response to MC Shan’s “The Bridge,” KRS-One and Boogie Down Productions responded with the “South Bronx” defending his borough by stating hip-hop started there and not below across the bay. We felt this track was eligible for the list just on the fact of it being one of the first major diss records in the city.
