With 50 Cent controlling the air waves along with the South takeover in 2004, Ja Rule put out arguably the most underrated song on this list with “New York” featuring Joey Crack and Kiss. This was the only major record that received loved on radio nationwide until Hov dropped empire state five years later. The chorus alone deserves placement on our list as Ja Rule was the only person paying homage to his city.
