Meek Mill DC4
Essential listening in 2015: Dreams Worth More Than Money
Release Date: First Quarter

After coming back strong from jail earlier this year, Meek Mill’s 2015 turned bad quickly. His sophomore album Dreams Worth More Than Money went number one upon it’s release, selling roughly 250k it’s first week out. In the coming weeks Meek would engulf himself in a beef with Drake and from there it was all down hill for Philly’s mascot. After being on the receiving end of a brutal diss track turned hit, turned GRAMMY nomination, Meek Millie’s summer ended pretty badly. He became a laughing stock that was reduced to an assortment of memes and clown of the jokes.

Despite this, Meek still has his core fan base and boo Nicki Minaj by his side so he’s probably not worried about the naysayers. Meek also has DC4 coming out soon to hush those who have doubted him. The Instagram snippets we get from him have been letting us know that he’s not only hard at work, but he’s producing quality. Maybe he’s taken all the hate and jokes as fuel because the raps he’s been spitting have been hard as nails. He has recently lended verses to both Rick Ross and Lil’ Durk and he’s rapping with a tenacity that only someone with a lot to lose would. There’s been videos that include him rapping over Drake’s “Back To Back” and Future and Drake’s “I’m The Plug.”

Will he reignite the beef? Who knows. DC4 originally was supposed to drop in December but after a probation violation that will likely land him back in Jail come next month, it was pushed back with good reason. So as of now there’s no timetable on it, but something tells me we’ll be getting this sooner than later.
